"Finger Surgery"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital / Plastic surgery

So on the 16th february I got my ring finger trapped in a door. I spent the whole day on the 17th february 2018 trying to get my finger fixed. I eventually had it operated on as I found out it had 3 fractures including nerve damage. I waited a 3-4 hours in A&E to tell the nurse the problem and another 3-4 hours to get it x-rayed and realised I needed to see what they called "plastics." Even though the people who operated on me treated me well, the nurse who brought me to my room where I had to wait another few hours said she would bring me food. Of course she did not have the common sense to ask me if I did not eat meat and brought me lamb and rice and had the guts to say it was halal. I have a severe case of social anxiety so I didnt have the courage to tell them that I didnt eat meat. I forced myself to eat against my own will as I couldve fainted considering I didnt eat within the last 24 hours. The nurse was also mean having a go at me saying I was late for the operation and that I did not get changed when 1) She did not give me a change of clothes and 2) I was waiting in that room for hours and considering I live in North London, this is not the best case scenario for me. Moving on, I got operated on and after a week I saw one of the nurses who got the cast off and replaced it with another. After another week she got my stitches out and said I can shower as normal and get water on it when water has been getting inside and I know it has been preventing the healing process. She also told me it would heal in two weeks. My finger is still swollen and still double the size of my normal ring finger on my left and and has not healed yet and my pinkie, middle and index finger are infected as the bottom bit under the nails of my left hand are swollen. I think thats known as acute paronchyia. This is why I gave such a low star rating and I believe I have a right to as my left hand still feels pretty useless considering it has been like a month and a half.
