"RECENT HOSPITAL STAY IN RVI & FRH"

About: The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

The following is a copy of a letter of thanks which I have sent to the staff of Ward 50 at the RVI regarding my admissiion on 13/03/2018 and transfer to FRH Ward 24 on 16/03/2018, discharged home on 17/03.2018:

"31st March 2018

Dear Members of staff

(and all the others whose names I can’t remember), I want to thank you all for the superb kindness with which you cared for me whilst I was in your ward two weeks ago being monitored before transfer to the Freeman Hospital for a pacemaker. I could not fault the attention I received

I should like especially to thank one member of staff for the way she looked after me during the night when I was a little frightened by my symptoms, but you were all wonderful.

As you may remember, it was planned for me to return to Ward 50 after the procedure but instead I was kept overnight in Freeman.

I spent one week at my son’s home and have now had one week back living independently in my flat and all is going well

Best wishes,

George Cottrell"
