"An amazing doctor"

About: Freeman Hospital / Nephrology

I am writing this review as I sit outside of the transplant ward 38 in the seating area for the umpteenth time since my husband had a kidney transplant last May 2017. As I wait, this dedicated doctor is attempting to unblock the stent in his kidney. The stent blocks on average every 3 weeks so we are constant visitors to the ward. If it stays blocked my husband is very likely to get sepsis again. He has unfortunately had this 3 times since transplant. This doctor is a truly amazing and dedicated man. He has seen us through some very tough times here at the hospital as my husband is a very complicated case with a multitude of additional health problems. Each time he has remained positive and caring, offering us solutions and hope that things can be dealt with.

My husband will never be a well man, of that we are only too aware, but This Doctor is the ever professional and smiling face of this hospital for us. So much so that we are nominating him for a BBC One show NHS Patient care award. We hope he wins in his category as we feel he deserves so much more recognition. The
