What I liked
Firstly a doctor at the emergency was worried about me and suggested that I should be admitted. I had a sharp pain on the right hand side of my belly and had recently recovered from an urine infection.
What could be improved
Just one of the nurses was helpful on the Ward the others did not care and were nearly bully. I was left 30 hours without eating. I was given paracetamol every 3 hours and start to felt worst than when I arrived. My husband had to scream at the nurses for somebody to come and see me to allow me to eat. The nurses kept repeating that they were no doctors as they were dealing with emergencies. I had to wait a long time to do the exams as all departments were busy. When the doctor finally came it looks like that he was doing me a favour and that nothing was feeling was important.
On my 3rd day without completing all series of exams I had to do I decided to leave still feeling pain.
Anything else?
Don't use Barnet Hospital. Over the past 8 years I have been using in several different occasions and every single time I faced rude and bully staff. They are always extremely busy and you can wait around 4 hours at the emergency and the nurse would suggest you to stop at a petrol station to buy paracetamol or wait around 8 hours to see a doctor.
"Never go there. The enviroment looks..."
