"Treatment..no informed diagnosis..."

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital / Ophthalmology

I brought my elderlyl mother to clinic to be told that she was to be admitted to the day unit for invasive treatment .At 88 years of age she had not been informed of the procedure.or the diagnosis which could result in blindness. The Consultant described the event as "unfortunate"...he had seen her notes..and would usually see people to explain the treatment plan.

I now require an explanation for this appalling approach .
