So far, I don't always go to see my GP. I'm always working but the moment I go there they are all nice and friendly. The only thing is I don't get the appointment I need that match my days off. This GP is always busy but I like it. So when I book my appointment I make sure I have 2 week time to get the days I need. Anyway, This GP is GREAT. I don't know the name of the nurse but she is really very very good. I have problems when I have blood test. I just breakdown to tears coz I'm scared. She is there to calm me down and managed to find my pulse. Thanks

Thank you for leaving a comment on NHS Choices. I am really pleased to hear that the booking system is working for you and that you are happy to book ahead to ensure that you can make an appointment with your preferred GP. Alternatively if you needed to speak to a doctor more urgently, you are able to telephone and request to speak to a Duty Doctor, and you will be added to a list for the Duty Doctor to call you that day, there is a possibility that it may not be the Doctor that you usually have a booked appointment with but they would have access to your medical records and would be able to answer your urgent queries if need be. I am presuming that the lady that took your blood is Doreen, she is a trained Phlebotomist and is excellent at taking blood. I will make sure that your comments are passed on to her.
