"Excellent care by all from reception to referral"

I am extremely grateful to the opthamology team on the 23rd February I had an appointment for my dry eyes (secondary to lupus) with the oncology specialist opthamologist. I came in and reception explained to me that I had a change of appointment and it had been moved forward to April. I explained that I did need to be seen as I had headaches and pain in my eyes and I assumed it was one of the medications I had been on. I was squeezed in by the lady on reception thanks to an opthamologist registrar agreeing to see me. Once they got me in they identified a problem immediately got me seen for further testing and spoke to the neurology team. I now know that’s because I have intracranial hypertension. I am extremely grateful that opthamology worked so quickly to get me in and arranged for follow up very quickly.
