"Dislocated Shoulder"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency Medway Maritime Hospital / X-ray and Scans South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I managed to dislocate my shoulder at the weekend.

An Ambulance came almost 5 minutes after we called so was very quick. This was at around 4pm. I was given pain relief and taken to A&E. Ambulance staff were quick, patient and helpful.

At A&E I was seen quite quickly and X Rayed. I think the name of the staff member was Bidia in X-Ray - she was very helpful.

More painkillers and then helped by staff member Richie.

Mahmood then spent a long and patient time putting my shoulder back in.

All staff were helpful, polite, jolly and a pleasure to be in their care.

Out of no-where I also received a few days later a letter re a follow up appointment.

100% happy with how I have been looked after and the aftercare treatment. A fantastic service provided.

Thank you very much for your comments, I do hope that you are continuing to recover well from your ordeal. I wonder if you would send an email to pet@secamb.nhs.uk confirming the address and approximate time that the ambulance attended. Once I have this I will be able to trace the crew who attended and pass on your thanks to them.

Kind regards

Graham Parrish
