"Ceasarean"

About: Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust

All the care throughout my pregnancy was amazing! We decided to have an elective cesarean after our first Daughter was born emergency cesarean. The only downside is that my partner was not aloud to stay overnight due to infection control (he was aloud the first time). This really affected me and i believe it has effected their bond as she wants me.Our first born he was allowed over night for 2 days which helped me greatly.I was in pain from my cesarean from hours before and he had to leave at the usual time for normal visitors which was 8.30pm. This is a huge downfall for me personally :(

Good afternoon

Thank you for these comments regarding your care during your pregnancy and labour.

However, we are sorry that your partner was not allowed to stay with you on the ward overnight and your feeling this has affected your early memories and partners relationship with your baby.

To respond to this properly further information has been requested from Women’s & Children’s Division and we will update you again regarding this
