"Clean, pleasant, warm, friendly, kind..."

About: Basildon University Hospital

What I liked

The environment was as a good hospital should be, clean pleasant and bright. Staff were very pleasant with natural smiles, kind, caring and very helpful. they did n;t mind explaining procedures in more details and gave me time to understand what I was bering asked to do.

It was a happy relaxed environment, plenty of space, nobody rushing around pretending to busy, each patient was treated with the utmost respect, warmly and kindly too.

Privacy and dignity were paramount, although nobody likes having to attend hospital, it was a joy to be there.

There has been criticism of this hospital; in the past but there was no evidence whatsoever of any problems today, the staff / management really have pulled out all the stops and learned form their mistakes ... whatever the past, given them a chance and you will be pleasantly surprised!

What could be improved

For my appointment letter to have stated that the Cardiac Unit was at the rear of the hospital with parking spaces too!

Anything else?

Thank you to all the staff at Basildon Hospital fro making me feel cared for in a clean and very pleasant environment ... I will choose your hospital again although I do live in walking distance of my local hospital, the trip was very well worth the extra journey time!
