What I liked
My father was recently admitted for an operation on his carotid artery which had 'furred' up and had caused him to have a couple of minor tias. From start to finish I have to say his treatment and care has been exemplary. All in all from diagnosis to his operation the time span was just five weeks. At each step of the way it was explained just exactly what was to happen during the operation and any queries that we had were addressed immediately. The quality of nursing care was excellent and a special thank you to member of staff in critical care who saw to my fathers needs and that he was as comfortable as possible just after his op. I think here in the North East we are very lucky to have such skilled people from the surgeons to the nursing staff, even the technician who did a scan of my fathers heart was brilliant helped he said by the state of the art equipment. I would thoroughly recommend the QE for this type of operation based on my 85 year old fathers recovery. Thanks to everyone involved
