"MLU birth"

Had my 2nd baby on the MLU last night and, whilst the birth itself was very difficult for me, the staff on the unit are absolutely brilliant.

They supported me from the second I arrived to the second we left. My husband was involved (not ignored) and the whole experience was everything I could have wanted.

At no point did I feel pressured or pushed into anything and the midwives followed and respected my wishes throughout. The level of care here is amazing and all of the staff know exactly how to make you feel looked after and safe.

I won't be having any more children but, if I were, I would strive to return to the MLU as I can't fault a single element of my experience there.
