We have been at this surgery for over 7 years and honestly have to say we can not point to one positive experience with a doctor.
To be clear we aren't ones to waste time and book appointments unnecessarily and now with a young family our doctor visits a little more frequent than before.
Its got to the point where we are almost too afraid of booking an appointment for fear of a negative reaction.
The appointment process, system and waiting times to book is an absolute disgrace and after many years of this abysmal process isn't time they listened and addressed it - I'm not sure how they prioritise but it would seem longer established patients are dealt with easily.
It always seems the receptionist is empowered to make the decision as to who see's you, I was once even interrogated to my symptoms to assess by a receptionist if what I had was an emergency!
Whilst I can't speak for all doctors, we have yet to have a doctor with a polite and courteous approach, we appreciate they are under pressure and overwhelmed but a smile wouldn't go a miss.
When we experience this consistently with one particular doctor, we changed, but we have only met our new doctor once, having to always go to the duty doctor OR junior doctor.
I appreciate this won't be everyone's experience but as this is ours and it is consistent, its come to the point where we we need to share this - how this surgery has almost 5 stars is not a fair reflection on the actual chaos that we experience.
I have to say its only ever been a positive experience when visiting nurses.
