"Outstanding service and compassion"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My sister and I brought our 82 year old mother to A andE after a fall in the garden the previous day to have her checked over as there were no appointments available that day at her GP.   She was assessed and referred to a physiotherapist who had an outstanding level of professionalism but more importantly compassion and bedside manner.   He made an anxious period a somewhat enjoyable experience at a a time when it is apparent that A and E departments are struggling to cope with enormous workloads.   We were not rushed through the process like a production line but felt quality time was spent with us by a very caring and competent individual. I think the young dark haired individual will already be known to more senior colleagues and because of his nature will remember who we were.   His name escapes me but I hope someone takes the time to trace him and let him know that his efforts are appreciated perhaps more than he is told!

Dear Dream physio

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your lovely comments online. I am delighted to hear that you had a good experience on your visit to our emergency dept. I will ensure that your comments are passed on to Fraser our advanced physiotherapist. I hope that your mother is recovering well and out enjoying her garden again soon.

Many thanks

Claire Rae
