"Quality of NHS Services at Northfield Medical..."

I am writing this review on behalf of myself and my mother, for whom I am a carer.

We both wish to express that the services provided at Northfield Medical Centre as we have personally experienced them have been, and continue to be, outstanding.

We have both experienced a dedicated and highly motivated staff - GPs, nurses and administrative staff are all consistent in providing a caring atmosphere which is friendly whilst being very professional and reliable.

Quality of care and consulting the patient are the focus as we have experienced it.

It is amazing that a busy practice still manages an appointment system in which people don't wait very long to have a suitable appointment with an appropriate professional.

Quality of care is outstanding - the gentleness of the nurse, for instance, who my mother saw this week for dressing a nasty skin wound, together with her very kind disposition, in addition to her professionalism in carefully choosing dressings for her skin type and injury and applying them in such a way as to almost cause no pain whatsoever was much appreciated and typical of the level of care given.

The patience of the GP who makes time to listen to ensure patient involvement in their care plan by insisting on a double appointment for this to take place and the kindly communicating of the questions to ascertain wishes of the patient are fully understood and respected - such consistently good care gives both my mother and myself complete confidence in, and thankfulness that we attend, Northfield Medical Centre.

The administrative staff are also kind and friendly and very helpful, whether on reception or handling enquiries by phone.

We are always made to feel that we and our wellbeing are important at this practice.

I would also like to express commendation on the excellent Pharmacy adjacent to the Medical Centre, which also works to high professional standards and serves the patients attending the Centre with consistent good service.
