What I liked
Bright, clean building, good size and easy direction signs to follow.(I just would've got lost with more larger hospital..)
But I'm just so happy enough only because my son was born safely at Whittington.
And thank you very much for Whittington's maternity service team & treatments to my baby boy.
I think it was the right choice to give a birth at Whittington. Reliable and confident team.
And location! It is surely convenient, very next to tube station and in the heart of town.
What could be improved
The corridor towards maternity ward was far too long. Personaly it's better located near the main entrance as i found it hard to walk all the way through with a big bump, alhough it seemed a good exercise..
There were some appointment related mistakes on letters so I missed some of my appointments.Eventually they gave me another ones, but I was a bit anxious not being able to see midwife for a while at nearly 30 weeks pregnant.
It is quite busy(sometimes it could be too busy) and popular hospital as of many positive comments on this site & its good reputation for maternity service, so it seems short-staffed and more nurse/midwives will be needed during the night. (Although the night nurse I met there was very kind and helpful lady and I thank her very much!)
Anything else?
If I could have a chance to get pregnant again, I would choose Whittington again.
"Reliable place to give a birth, with..."
