From arrival in reception right through the whole process I was met with kindness and curtesy on all my visits to the hospital.
The doctor is the first person to give me back my confidence in the medical profession since my husband passed away nearly 9 years ago.
The kindness, care and compassion he showed me from my first consultation to my last consultation was far beyond anything I expected.
All the staff before, during and after my surgery could not have been more caring.
I would recommend this operation to anyone struggling with pain in the joint. Yes it’s very painful at first but is worth it in the end. By the end of January I was walking 3 miles a day pain free.
My only regret is that on my follow up appointment I didn’t get to ask the doctor all the questions and advice that I wanted to ask as my mum had just passed away and my mind was not on my consultation. This has left me feeling a little in the dark about life with a joint replacement. I did write to the doctor to apologise for this as I feel their time is so precious. During this consultation the doctor could not have been more kind to me.
I would recommend Oaklands Hospital and all the staff I met %100. I must say that I was treated under the NHS.
I would be more than welcome to share my honest experience about this operation with anyone who is finding it as hard as I did to decide what treatment to have.
Thank you to the doctor and all the staff.
