"My husband's short stay in A & E and ICU"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

My husband was transferred as an emergency to A & E, following diagnosis at Lincoln, of a very large abdominal aortic aneurysm. He was closely monitored at all times, and stabilising treatment given. Everything was explained to us at all times by the Vascular Surgeon on duty. He was then transferred to ICU, where the doctors and nurses kept him stable, displaying such care, expertise, kindness and dedication at all times. Thanks to the wonderful care received from both A & E and ICU, my husband was successfully transferred to Leicester Glenfield for emergency aneurysm repair, and is now slowly recovering at home.

Thank you to all concerned.
