About: Shotley Bridge Hospital Site

What I liked

The person who does my retinal screening photography is both caring and professional. They recognise me from my annual visits and I feel like a vaued patient, not just a name on a jobs list.

I also like the fact that I can walk to and from the hospital as it's only a mile from my home in Consett, and I have a chance of knowing either some staff or other patients as this is truly a community hospital.

Anything else?

I'm concerned that signage around the community (and the information on this site) still only talks about a limited "minor injuries unit" though there are now 24 hour Urgent Care facilities.
