"Not happy with receptionist"

About: Dr Dp Shah's Practice

I have been with the surgery over 20 years. Always have great care & staff are always helpful & polite. Today my partner goes in to collect my sons usual repeat prescription & he was told it has been sent over to the chemist. He said our sons prescription is CD controlled drug. She said it’s been sent. So when he got home I phoned the chemist just to make sure. No. You cannot send CD to chemist. You have to collect the prescription. Now he has to go back to the doctors again & collect the prescription what he went for in the 1st place. I know mistakes can be made. But this is unexpected of a professional service. So annoying that we have to go again. Not happy with this receptionist.

We do always try to give the great care you mention.

I have spoken to all staff who were here that day, and have been advised that this happened just as you say.

I can assure you the receptionist involved has also been advised that you were not happy with the service provided on that day and advised to be more vigilant in the future.

I cannot apologise enough for the inconvenience this caused you.

I wish you had put your name and I could have apologised in person.
