"Endometriosis Treatment"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital / Gynaecology

Had laparoscopic removal of endometriosis and recovered in mixed sex ward day surgery as men were walking about (don't mean staff) I was bleeding and still under heavy sedation naked with gown coming off and had very little help. Once you have seen the specialist it takes over 5 weeks for a simple letter to go to the GP Surgery for continuous treatment. When someone is suffering in pain it is totally unacceptable. I do not recommend using Basingstoke Hospital for Endometriosis treatment. It takes far too long for specialist office to communicate with GP Surgery regarding treatment for on going Endometriosis patients. A disgusting way to treat someone in pain, NHS. What is the point of paying your paye contributions?

Thank you for your feedback regarding your endometriosis treatment. I am very sorry that your experience of the service was not of the high standards we aim to provide. I have shared your comments with the clinical leaders, however, if you would like to discuss your individual circumstances further, please do contact our customer care team on 01256 486766 or email customercare@hhft.nhs.uk who would be happy to help.
