"Ridiculous wait on phone and for appointments"

About: St Andrews Medical Practice.

I used to really like this surgery, but it seems to have got busier and busier recently, to the point where you can’t actually access it.

The last couple of times I’ve tried to make an urgent appointment by phoning at 8.30am, I’ve wasted an hour trying to get through only to be told all the appointments were gone, and that I should take my daughter to the walk in centre!

A couple of days ago, I waited 20 minutes in a queue on the phone to make a routine appointment. Apparently there weren’t any AT ALL for the next four weeks.

I was offered an out of hours appointment at a different clinic (fine for me), but when I wanted to change the time I had to waste another 20 minutes on hold, only for the receptionist to tell me she didn’t know how to use the system.

It’s extremely disappointing, and I’m now considering moving practices.
