"Patient and reassuring staff"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Day Surgery to have 6 teeth removed under general anaesthetic, prior to beginning radiotherapy treatment for tonsillar cancer.

The staff in the Day Surgery ward were extremely professsional, friendly and kind both on the day of the procedure and during the pre-op check the day before.

The nurses also made my wife welcome when she came to sit with me as I recovered before going home. They ensured that we both understood the aftercare and homecare advice.

The patience and reassurance of the staff was much appreciated at this difficult time.
