I don't usually write reviews however after my experience this week I wanted to give some positive feedback for the Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit at Newham Hospital.
At 11 and a half weeks pregnant I started bleeding and sadly was found to have had a missed miscarriage. From start to finish the staff were great with me and my husband. Everyone was friendly, warm, sympathetic and professional - despite being very busy. The staff clearly had a lot to deal with, but all treated me with dignity and respect. I felt listened to and that all my questions were answered - especially the doctors when explaining the options I had.
I’ve read a lot of negative reviews about this hospital and, being new to the areas, was worried about the experience I would have but I want to reassure people reading this that not all experiences are bad. Have patience and remember you are not the only person the staff are trying to look after, they all want to do a good job for you and I’m really relived and pleased to say everyone looking after me was brilliant. Thank you.
