About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Day Case Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My young daughter was in for day case surgery.  First time in hospital and having a general anaesthetic, we were all a little nervous. I can not fault the service. All the staff, nurses, anaesthetists, recovery staff and medical staff, play specialist) start to finish made my daughter (and us as parents) feel very relaxed. No tears or tantrums. So important for first experiences of hospital to be positive.  Thank you all.

Hi Mareemac

Thank you for your feedback on your daughter's experience following her recent stay in the day case unit.

I am glad that this was positive experience for her and hope that she is fully recovered from her procedure. Being put into a strange environment and not knowing what is happening can be very stressful for children (and their families) and to know that due to the staff's efforts this was minimised I am sure made a big difference to you.

I will ensure your feedback is passed onto all the staff
