About: King Edward Vii Hospital (Windsor)

Hi, I have been undergoing treatment for my left eye. Initially seen at Windsor hospital and later referred to Oxford. It was agreed that i remain in care of Oxford but the treatment will continue at Windsor with it being not practical to travel to Oxford frequently.

I was under care of a doctor and was diagnosed with left eye. serpiginous chorioentintis. The oxford hospital has put me under some medication and recommended injections to limit scotoma. The doctor has put me under treatment plan : 3 x Lucentis to LE. She was amazing, very understandable;e and caring, even calling after my Oxford appointments to be updated on the treatment and measures.

After two injections, the doctor has said that they would wait and see if the third one is required and had not given it. As the improvement was seen. I was told to come in to the hospital if something is not right.

Since last 2 weeks I have noticed significant change in my vision and i started to see blind spots. I have called the hospital and walked in twice in a week and the doctor there refused help, simply by saying that I have to go to Oxford since i am being treated there and it's different trust and all. When I reasoned that my appointment at Oxford was in 3 weeks time, they suggested I wait or walk in. I was a bit paranoid since it could see how quickly my vision has been losing in past weeks and asked what if something goes very bad in the 2 weeks time? for which the nurse was sarcastic in saying "what in these 2 weeks?". Clear lack of empathy for patients and no desire to help.

To my shock I have now received an appointment letter in two weeks' time from Windsor. Same people who have refused to treat me, despite being under treatment at the same hospital.

I hope the hospital has more people like the doctor who genuinely serves patient whit whole heart.
