I moved to Lincolnshire in March 2017 from Cornwall where I was being treated for my MS that had originally been diagnosed as Transverse Mylytis, but , after further tests, was then diagnosed as MS. Once I registered with a GP he referred me to a Neurologist, but at Peterborough Hospital! Quite a long way to go from outside Boston, but luckily for me my son was at home at the time and was able to drive me there. I then got an appointment for an MRI scan at Scampton hospital. The consultant I saw had none of my notes just a couple of MRI scans! After the scan he ordered, he wrote to me and ruled out MS and re diagnosed TM, which he said was good news! GOOD NEWS! The 2 conditions are very similar and I wish he could have a day in my shoes! Now I have another appointment in Peterborough to see this consultant, despite phoning to try to get a closer appointment. Well he better be ready, I am not happy and I have written evidence of my MS. I feel that, so far, I have been treated really badly.
