What I liked
I broke my hip and was taken by ambulance to A & E at Lincoln where I was seen immediately
and made comfortable and given pain releiving drugs. My hip was XRayed quickly and when the doctor in A&E was satisfied that I had broken my hip I was transferred to Stowe Ward . The following morning, within 18 hours of my accident, I was operated on and a new hip was fitted. I was then returned to Stowe Ward to recover. I am 80 years of age and could not have been treated any better had I been a 21 year old. This to me proves that Lincoln County Hospital is efficient, caring and treats the elderly in the same way that they would treat a younger person. My husband and I visit the hospital departments very frequently and we have always been more than satisfied with the way we have been treated. We have no complaints at all and cannot speak too highly of the kindness and professionalism of all the staff. We have a hospital to be proud of.
What could be improved
Nothing as far as I am concerned. The only problem has been the long wait for medicines when being discharged - a very minor problem!
