What I liked

i am writing this for my mother who is 106. She broke her leg and had to be taken to accident and emergency and then to the surgical wing. The ambulance crew were exceptionally thoughtful and caring displaying professionalism and compassion to a very high standard. When we arrived at hospital, the A and E staff were equally caring and patient despite the confusion my mother was in and her fears while being moved for x ray She was transferred to a surgical ward where she was in a room on her own but with a window to the nurses station. The operation to put a pin in her leg was necessary but the outcome very uncertain in view of her age. The staff took all the precautions and she came out of the operation successfully. Two weeks later she has been discharged. The surgeons, nurses, ancillary staff, occupational therapists and physiotherapists were universally helpful and willing and, as a family, we are all very grateful and have nothing but high praise for the hospital

What could be improved

not enough visitors were using the handwash when visiting the ward.
