"cccmht mentalhealth"

About: Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

I have been under kings road and laurel house for over 2 years and my mental health is worse now than it was before i started going to cccmht. it took 18 months to get any therapy for my eupd. that only happend after making numerous complaints and getting seap involved. i had 10 x 50 mins of therapy from july till oct 2017 then i was told i would need to have a 6 month break before starting on the second part of therapy which would be the stepps group due to start in april 2018 as of this date my therapist has not even contacted me despite my cpn asking them to.

In november 2017 my 11th yes 11th cpn told me they would make a referral for kers worker to contact me and work with me.  Now 17 weeks on they have still not contacted me i wrote them an e-mail and they said they had not received a referral from my cpn so someone is lying. They also told me they would write me a letter to help me apply for a disabled persons bus pass, I still havent received that.  They also said they  would ask my therapist to contact me as per norm no contact from therapist.

I have contacted the head of pals four times in 3 weeks they said they would get the right person contact me and deal with my complaint as of yet they have failed to contact me and now they are ignoring my e-mails. I am sick to death of being constantly being lied to and fobbed off with excuses. I leave messages for my cpn to contact me and 9 times out of 10 they are ignored. i was told i am a vulnerable adult and my cpn knows what i am going through since jan this year and I dont feel they have done nothing to help me if i dont ring them, they wont ring me. all i get is we are so understaffed and have had our case load increased. I think that if you was to cut back on all the wasted meeting cpns would have more time to spend with patients who really do need help. i have left another message today for my cpn to contact me i will lay you odds on they wont contact me . the whole system is in total meltdown no one is getting the help their told they will get its based on false promises. i wonder if i should stay away from cccmht so my mental health can get better.

I am sorry to note that you continue to have difficulties in engaging with CMHT support and have provided details of the new PALS and Complaints manager who I know is keen to help resolve this matter. I hope that you can get in touch with them and can achieve the outcome you seek
