"Repeat Prescription"

About: Wigston Central Surgery

(as the patient),

I ordered five items on a regular prescription from the surgery on Monday. For unknown reasons I find that I have to enter some items by hand since they aren't included but are part of the regular prescription. Following two phone calls to confirm details in which I detailed all the items again I then went to the chemist to pick up the prescription on Friday.

Having had previous problems and since the bag looked to be 'light' I asked what items had been included. The chemist opened the bag and referred to the fresh prescription form in there which listed only three items. I enquired about the most important and it was confirmed that it wasn't on the list. Since I have 'severe hypertension' and the medicine is referred to as 'critical' and the level of dosage that I take is mentioned to be reserved for those after a heart attack or those in heart failure, I was concerned. I also have just the one kidney and CKD as aggravating factors.

Having rushed round to the GP surgery with the medicines in the bag I lined them up across the desk to highlight the problem. Then I noticed that the BP medication was there but baffling as to why it didn't appear on the repeat prescription for next time. I am hoping that this week, two weeks after the original order, I will get the rest of my medecines.

Once again I do not understand why you would put these comments on this website, not sure what you are hoping to achieve by doing this.

As I have said time and time again I am unable to look in to this to see what has occurred and how we can solve the issue with ourselves or the pharmacy.

You can contact the surgery and let us have your details so we can look in to this?

As I have said on several occasions the clinicians and staff work extremely hard to give all our patients, over 12,500, the best possible care, and if there is something that you wish to discuss with us then please contact the surgery.

Thank you

Jane
