About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital

What I liked

I have had very mixed experiences with various NHS bodies regarding my current treatment but from my first contact with the Hallamshire (Stereotactic Radiosurgery Admin) I felt confident that things would happen and they did quickly. I have nothing but praise for all the staff involved in my treatment including admin, consultants, nurses, radiographers, technicians and various trainees. They were all extremely helpful, answered any questions I raised, and there were many, and were prepared to "go that bit further". They all struck a sensible balance between rules and procedures and customer wishes and when they could not they gave reasons.

All the staff I met seemed to enjoy their work and the multi-disciplinary nature of the overall activity.

What could be improved

Very little. The overall procedures seem to be well thought out and give flexibility to cover for the inevitable but unforeseen issues and problems. I might argue that your very competent staff should be given more discretionary freedoms.
