"A quick appointment and advice could have saved..."

About: Heathcote Street Surgery

Two weeks ago I had just got over a bad cough but I was experiencing breathlessness and a tight chest especially when I walked. I thought that I may need antibiotics as I only frequently visit the doctors. I had been to work and phoned at 1.30 to see if I could get an appointment.I had an appointment for 3.30. I was seen within a few minutes of my appointment. The Doctor did my blood pressure and spoke to me about my symptoms. He said that I should go straight to A@E as he felt I may be having a heart attack. He offered to ring for an ambulance but I advised him I had someone to take me. ( I am a qualified first aider but the symptoms were different than I had expected.)It turned out that I was having a heart attack and I would like to thank the the Doctor and also the reception for their help. With out their help I may not be here now.
