"Car Parking"

About: Bassetlaw Hospital / General surgery

What a farce it is trying to park at Bassetlaw Hospital. I tried to park there today ( Monday 19 March 2018) as my husband had to attend the Day Hospital. There wasn’t a car parking space anywhere. All the barriers were up in the public parks so I suspect staff were parking there. What are patients and relatives supposed to do. There were loads of spaces at the bottom of the site but were for permit holders only..

Staff also cause havoc by parking on side roads making it difficult for residents particularly when the roads are icy.

The barriers were up last week as well. How long does it take to repair them????

Get your act together Bassetlaw Hospital . Patients first, I don’t think so.

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding the car parks at Bassetlaw Hospital.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this must have caused.

I can give you an update regarding our car parks - the barriers in the Blyth Road car park are now operational; car park outside A & E work has been undertaken to the electrical circuits and the barriers will be back in operation shortly; Outpatient car park work is underway to repair the exit barrier and should be operational shortly. The pay and display car park at the bottom of the site is available for permit holders and general public.

The Trust are currently considering the options available to replace all of the equipment and every effort will be made to improve the situation wherever possible.

Once again, our apologies for the inconvenience this must have caused you.
