I had an angioplasty in my leg in early December 2017 and the Friday before Christmas I had some swelling on my ankle and foot. I rang reception who explained that she could only inform the duty doctor who would call me. The call came within 30 minutes and I was given an appointment in the afternoon. Safety first treatment was prescribed and a scan at the hospital booked. Scan completed on the following Tuesday. I contacted the duty doctor the next day regarding the results and all was in order and I was told to continue with my walking and to elevate my foot after each walk. As all GPs are overworked I thought this was an excellent service and hopefully everybody appreciates that at times the practice does get stretched to the limits if there some of the staff are off ill.
I would also like to mention that I had to rearrange a future appointment for my diabetic review as I could not make the April 18 dates. This was done professionally and I have had the review in March 18. Please keep up the good work.
