"Nothing was too much trouble"

About: Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

When admitted I was quivering  Like an old man...shivering  First ward was 412 then up to 23  That's where it finally all made any sense to me     My breathing had become laboured  Seemed like I fought for every breath  I tried to remain calm  Yet inside I was scared to death     A young nurse popped in to say  Nice to meet you have a good day  She could never know how happy that made me  Or feel the peace she left in her joyous happy way     Every member of the staff treated me so very well  Each seemed to share with me a knowing smile  I've never felt such gentle care and love before  It was an experience I'll remember for a while     Nothing was too much trouble...that's the standard Amy set  Thank you for the birthday greeting that all of you sung me  I was tickled pink from the top of my head to my toes...  Thank you one and all for everything you did   It will not be forgotten...blessed be...blessed be

Dear Celticpoet,

Thank you so much, for taking the time to write on care opinions about your admission to ward 23.

It's great to hear that the nursing staff through their care and manner helped you through when you were having difficulty breathing and feeling so ill. I will pass your story on to Amy and the rest of the staff to ensure they all get your thank you and I'm sure like me they will be very proud of the care they give when they read your words.

Hope you are continuing to make a good recovery and take care

Jamie Gorman

Thank you for your reply...I was truly impressed by the attitude of every member of your nursing staff...the health service we all take for granted has taken a battering at the hands of those who are interested only in how much more can they save or cut away from its resources. One thing that will endure is the obvious professionalism shown by our nurses and doctors...I witnessed the speed and efficiency, the dedication and consideration given by all who attended myself and others on the ward and again offer my humble yet grateful thanks!
