After being registered and seen by nurse and doctor who were all professional, caring and good at their job I was appalled to find there was no means of accessing the medication as pharmacy was closed. They tried to locate out of hours doctor to give me a prescription for a chemist but couldn’t find one. Instead I had to drive 13 miles from Ponefract to Pinderfields to access my medication. This is a joke. Some patients would be unable to do that journey. Surely a hospital pharmacy should be 24/7. Apparently there is a ‘man with a van’ who does the same journey several times a day for medication for the hospital. The pharmacy at Pinderfields closes at 5pm so where do they go to next? Dewsbury ? I felt sorry for the staff as they are doing an excellent job for MYT.
