I live in Ackworth and had an appointment at the Ackworth surgery about a problem that I was having with my right knee. My GP decided that I needed an X Ray and would refer me to the Pontefract Hospital but was unsure of when it would take place.
We have some friends who live in Hemsworth and previously they have given good reports of the X Ray facility at the Grange Medical Centre and so I asked my GP if it was possible for me to go there.
The appointment was made within 24 hours and I was very happy with my visit. The radiologist called me on time and
I was immediately made to feel comfortable and at ease.
Pleasant, courteous and thorough is how I would describe the way that I was treated during the appointment.
Subsequently I went for an MRI scan at Fitzwilliam and was told I needed to see an Orthopedic surgeon. There were long waiting lists for consultations and even longer lists for treatment at local hospitals. Again on recommendations from friends I opted to go to the Barlborough Orthopedic Hospital near Chesterfield. Within a week I had a consultation and after 8 days was given an appointment for keyhole surgery. 20.3.18
"Excellent X Ray experience"
