"Midwife visit"

About: Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

(as the patient),

Gave birth in St Mary's Paddington and had few Midwife and Healthcare visitors around in my home in Buckinghamshire.

One of the Healthcare visitors was very cold and after examining my daughter as I was worried about her hips and length of  her legs, she asked  for the bathroom to wash her hands. Not before. She did not smile, no emotions. Treating her as a patient.

Dear Janetta

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

Thank you for posting your feedback regarding your experience with the Healthcare visitors when they visited you at home.

I was sorry to learn that you felt the healthcare visitor was cold and lacked emotions and that she washed her hands after checking your daughter and not before.

We hope that you may be happy to speak with us in some more detail about your experience, so that we can understand what happened more clearly; explore ways in which we can assist and improve our patient experience in the Trust.

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is a learning organisation and we appreciate the valuable insight that direct patient feedback gives us into the services we are providing. Please contact our dedicated Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on 01296 316042 if you feel able to share your experience further.

With Kind regards

Patient Advice & Liaison Service (BHT)
