"Exceptional care on Labour Ward"

Our son was born on Hillingdon Labour Ward in January. While it wasn’t completely plain sailing, we were fortunate enough to be discharged the following day with a healthy baby boy.

My wife and I wish to express our huge gratitude to the Maternity staff for helping bring our boy into the world. The care my wife received at every stage, especially on the labour ward, was outstanding.

In particular I wish to highlight the efforts of our midwives and student. They were exceptional in every respect and are a credit to the department. We will never forget their professionalism under pressure that day, nor the genuine compassion they showed the three of us throughout.

Thanks also go to the supporting staff who intervened so quickly when problems arose. In such a high stakes situation, their calm efficiency was comforting at a time when my wife and I were most frightened. We will be forever grateful.
