I was at Ash Villa for sixth months and I was not given any kind of therapy for the first three months. Staff were very ignorant and didn't notice how many patients had contraband and ignored all of my self-harm. I had a severe eating disorder whilst at Ash Villa and none of the staff cared. I went over fourteen days without consuming anything other than Lucozade once staff noticed that I wasn't eating (which was only after nine days). The staff made unhelpful comments about my refusal of food and straight out told me that I 'didn't have an eating disorder' which made me even worse. I was also allowed to discharge myself after three days of not eating anything at all. Staff had no a severe lack of knowledge and also very frequently upset patients. This unit watched me as I wasted away, they ignored my self-harm, they ignored my rapid 10kg weight loss in two weeks. The staff were careless.
