I have just revisited the statistics for your hospital on waiting times to treatment from referral. It says 9/10 treated within 16 weeks. The department claims to meet targets mostly. The time to my op from referral to treatment after another cancellation will be 46 weeks. The person who told me this has said she may even cancel the new date. This is the time from an internal consultant referral. From my GPs referral it will be 52 weeks. What more can I say. Change your website to reflect the real situation please. Truth is less damaging to a patient's health and welfare than living with false expectations and hope. The informant of the delay kept thanking me for my understanding and appreciation. I was neither understanding or appreciative, I actually was so shocked I said nothing. Ringing back the reason for my cancellation changed twice in a few sentences and made no sense as there are still 6 weeks to the cancelled date. The recipient of my slot this cancellation changed from adult to child in urgent need of emergency surgery. Makes no sense. Until today I had nothing other than five star praise for your hospital.
