"A&E 17 Weeks Pregnant - 4 days in labour"

About: Royal Free Hospital / Maternity

Admitted to A&E when 17 pregnant - all in all I waited for 17 hours - yes 17!! To be admired to a ward with no food at all, by the time I got taken to a ward it was around 4am, it wasn’t even a specialist ward, I was with older ladies with broken legs - woken up by their nurses at 5.30am, literally no sleep and no food - left their black & blue from the amount of mess ups trying to get bloods.

At 35 weeks went into premature labour - this was a Saturday morning, eventually given an emergency C section on the Tuesday Morning - out me off having more babies.

Hello

Thank you for taking time to leave a review, I am sorry for the experience you have recounted.

I hope you and your baby are getting to know each other and you are recovering from your C Section.

It is hard for me to comment on your care from the information you list, however, it is only in rare circumstances we admit patients beyond their specialism. I will share your feedback so others can learn from your experience.

With Kind Regards

Richard
