"Treatment for mental health and excessive drinking"

I had a great experience of this surgery - a female doctor helped me with problems relating to drinking and smoking and mental health issues I was experiencing due to childhood sexual abuse. I have never had a doctor speak to me so kindly before and she gave me help which has been truly life-changing. I was referred for support through a drug and alcohol service in Woolwich and received excellent care there too, and I am now also receiving counselling from a charity that helps victims of childhood sexual abuse. Without this doctor’s help I would still be in a very dark place and I am really grateful for her kindness and help - no-one has ever listened to me before like that.
