"Disappointed!"

About: Woodbridge Hill Surgery

I have been coming to this surgery for the past 5 years and previously was very impressed by the surgery which is why I am upset to be writing this ..

I was pregnant last year and unfortunately miscarried. When I began to feel strange I rang the doctors and the lady on the reception gave me the number of my midwife. She didn’t pick up her phone once or even bother to reply to my text when I text her my concerns because I was in a lot of pain . I tried calling her for 2 days and had no response.I ended up going into A&E as I couldn’t get an appointment or w response from her. .

A year on I have been having pains on my left side of my womb as previously I was having slight complications after my D&C and the first nurse I saw was amazing and gave me reassurance and said they would do an ultrasound to ensure everything was ok as she was concerned I had fluid build up when she felt my lower abdomen. I came back to the surgery a few hours later and had a female doctor who didn’t even take my bloods or do an ultrasound like the nurse said she just said they didn’t need to and all she did was give me a chlamydia kit which I know for a fact I’m clear on myself and partner we’re both checked which I explained. She didn’t once check me over, feel my womb or even bother trying to see what the problem was. She then tried to get me to go on a pill that I didn’t want to go on due to making me put on weight previously and insisted i took it. I don’t think the contraceptive pill has much to do with the pain I am in.

I felt like she just wanted to move on to the next patient! I won’t be recommending this surgery and will not be returning here for sure.

We write to acknowledge your log on the NHS Choices website and we are very sorry to hear you feel you had bad service from both the Midwife and GP Services. Because this is anonymous I am unable to contact you to discuss, but I would be very happy to discuss the matter if you would like to contact me direct.
