"Could not have been happier with the care I received"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

In a evening earlier this week, I was taken by ambulance to Musgrove Park A&E, although a wait in the corridor was inevitable I was well attended to and certainly did not feel like I had been abandoned.

In the early hours of the next day I was transferred to the surgical admissions ward, my treatment there was second to none. All the nurses and staff were so friendly.

If it wasn't for the fact that I wasn't feeling too good and was worried about myself I could almost say it was a pleasure to be there, all of the treatment that I had to undergo was carried out professionally and with the minimum of fuss, even though the nurses at some times seemed to be run off their feet it never seemed to affect their caring attitude.

I was transferred again to the Montacute ward in the evening and, once again, was so well looked after I could definitely find no fault, even the smallest request was met with a helpful attitude and certainly not dismissed.

In fact I had left my phone charger at home, not having too much time for anything when the Ambulance arrived, one of the nurses even brought me one from her home.

I would like it put on record that from the beginning in the corridor right through the surgical admissions ward and then the Montacute ward your nurses and staff are fabulous and I could not have been happier with the care I received.

Dear Jwin

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. Firstly I am sorry you were nursed in the corridor as this is something that we really try hard not to happen. It has been a challenging few weeks but I am pleased that although it sounded extremely busy we were still able to be professional and care for you.

I will share your kind words with the team as I know when this does happen the team feel stressed and knowing that although this happened we still managed to do a good job, im sure this will help the team.

Thank you for your response, had I been left in the corridor uncared for and ignored I would have worried, but your staff kept me informed and I could understand that a wait was inevitable.

I had no worries and knew that as soon as possible I would be moved. Your staff are wonderful under difficult circumstances, be proud of them.
