"Informative and helpful"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as a service user),

in recent years I have suffered from sever swallowing problems, I was seen by a consultant who referred me for a battery of tests, one of these included oesophageal function studies at hairmyres. the lady who carried out the test was totally unbelievable and managed to carry out the test despite my awkwardness and the fact I was acting like a nutter because I was apprehensive about the test. the kid who helped out in the clinic was good too he took my catheter out on my return appointment

they were very informative and helpful

cant complain except get a smaller catheter

Dear Hedge78,

Thanks very much for taking the time to post your positive experience undergoing tests in the Oesophageal Lab at Hairmyres.

I will make sure that Michelle and Gordon from the department see this post as I know it will mean a lot to them to know that you felt so well cared for.

I hope that the outcome of the tests help bring some resolution to the swallowing problems that you have been suffering from.

All the best,

Cameron
