"I found all the appointments with lots of different agencies really difficult to keep up"

About: Compass York / Compass One Compass York / Drug intervention programme

(as a service user),

I was released from prison in February and at first I was homeless which made things difficult and I ended up using. It took sometime but through Foundation Housing I got a bond and was able to get somewhere to live. I found all the appointments with lots of different agencies really difficult to keep up but it was worth it in the end.

I got a prescription from Compass and since then I have been reducing and yesterday was my last dose. I am hoping to get some volunteer work between now and September When I am starting a college course to train to be a support worker.

It has been a real struggle getting used to attending appointments and keeping contact with all the services I needed too support me through this, it was really helpful at this time to get a phone from the DIP team.

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the support you have recevied from Compass.

Regarding finding many appointments diffcult to keep on top of, we are currently looking at streamlining support services in order to make services easier for service users to access.

Good luck with your continued recovery.
