"No duty of care"

About: Liverpool Womens Hospital

I felt that the consultants here are more interested in business ventures outside of the hospital e.g. private healthcare rather than patients here...

I have made a formal complaint with PALS although I feel like in the long run, this will probably not achieve anything. I am still yet to receive a reply.

I will never forget this terrible experience I had with the Women's, it has unfortunately scarred me for life. Even after a major mistake was made, the least someone could do is give a basic apology but no apologies were given. It's not even the impoliteness that is the problem here but rather the the professional duty of candour that some staff lack.

Next time, I will probably go to a different city's hospital for gynaecological problems - even if it means travelling a longer distance.

Thank you for contacting us with your feedback. I am sorry for your experience. I can see that you are already in touch with our PALS department and I urge you to keep in contact with them regarding the progress of the concerns you have raised with them.

If you feel it would be beneficial for you to speak to me directly about your experience, please contact the PALS department with your preferred contact details for them to pass on to me.

Regards

Gillian Walker
