"Disappointing labour care"

About: Croydon University Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I was looked after by a midwife starting her night shift and me and my partner had the worst experience!

We found her to be very rude and condesending towards us and did not display any sympathy towards us. She was very dismissive when we asked questions, and just didn't seem to care.

This was my second child, and i think the care received this time round was appaling.

If I have another baby there, I would never want her looking after me.  She was speaking to us like she was in charge of the unit, talking like she knew more than the doctors.

I think Croydon really needs to vet their midwives as this is so disappointing.

I am really sorry that you had a bad experience and so it would be helpful for us to talk in more detail, so we can learn from what went wrong.

Please feel free to contact me directly
